de Tocqueville, a prophet?

“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.” Alexis de Tocqueville

Isn’t that what is happening before our eyes and in this day?
Tocqueville is also reputed to have said that
“America is great because it is good.
If it ever ceases to be good it will cease to be great.”

America's goodness can be traced back to the influence of Christianity
at her founding and in the faith of her fathers. When Tocqueville came here
and studied the republic he discerned that the Americans were a “good”
and a “religious” people.

Thus, the ten commandments were displayed in court rooms and buildings across the nation.
And still we have we have “In God we trust” displayed on our money.

What a rich heritage is referenced and yet so many these days do not have a clue.

Even now there grows a movement where are those
who don't even want anybody to get such an "antiquated" clue
and efforts are made that such references and acknowledgments of the God of our Fathers
are being removed by these anti-christ forces.
And Anti-christ, let the reader understand, is not one,
but many.

Dear children, this is the last hour;
and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming,
even now many antichrists have come.
This is how we know it is the last hour .  1 John 2.18

And as the nation and individual that forsakes God shall be turned into hell is foretold
even now there is slaughter in our communities as we begin to reap what we have sown.

It would be better for the individual and the nation if they had never know God than to know him, acknowledge him, and then depart.

But the good news is that for those who look for his appearing
the Son of righteousness shall appear with healing in his wings.

Gross darkness indeed covers the people like a dark cloud of unrighteousness and unbelief
but his light arises upon you and me and his glory is seen on us as we turn to him
and worship him in spirit and in truth.

O hallelujah!!! Glory be to his name!!!
